గుంటూరు: ఐక్య రాజ్య సమితి యూత్ అసెంబ్లీ (యువ సమ్మేళనం)కి గుంటూరు జిల్లాకు చెందిన నిమ్మగడ్డ అఖిల్ ఎంపికయ్యారు. ఈ ఏడాది ఫిబ్రవరి 14వ తేదీ నుంచి 16వ తేదీ వరకు న్యూయార్క్‌లో యూత్ అసెంబ్లీ 2018 నిర్వహించనున్నారు.
దీనికి తాడికొండ మండలం మోతడక గ్రామానికి చెందిన అఖిల్ ఎంపికయ్యారు. ఆయన ప్రస్తుతం అమెరికాలోని చార్లెట్‌లో ఉంటున్నారు. కంప్యూటర్ సైన్సులో మాస్టర్ డిగ్రీ పూర్తి చేసి ఉద్యోగం చేస్తున్నారు.

తెలుగు తేజం అఖిల్ కు అరుదైన గౌరవం దక్కింది. ఐరాస నిర్వహిస్తు్న్న యూత్ అసెంబ్లీ 2018కి ఎంపికయ్యాడు. అవినీతి, విద్య, నీరు, ఉద్యోగం, వాతావరణం తదితర 17 సమస్యలపై గత 15 ఏళ్లుగా ఐరాసా యూత్ అసెంబ్లీ నిర్వహిస్తోంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో యూత్ అసెంబ్లీ 2018 న్యూయార్క్ వేదికగా ఫిబ్రవరి 14 నుంచి 16 వరకు నిర్వహిస్తుంది. సామాజిక సేవ కార్యక్రమాలు, నాయకత్వ ప్రతిభ ఆధారంగా యువతను ఎంపిక చేస్తుంది...అలా ఎంపిక చేసిన యువతకు చర్చకు ఆహ్వానిస్తుంది. కాగా ఈ చర్చల్లో పొల్గోనే యువకులను ఎంపిక చేసింది. వారిలో తెలుగు తేజం అఖిల్ పేరు ఉండటం గమనార్హం. ఐరాస యూత్ అసెంబ్లీకి ఎంపికైన అఖిల స్వస్థలం గుంటూరు జిల్లా తాడికొండ మండలం మోతడక గ్రామం. ప్రస్తుతం అమెరికాలోని చార్లెస్ లో నివాసం ఉంటున్న అఖిల్ ..కంప్యూటర్ సైన్స్ లో మాస్టర్ డిగ్రీ అక్కడే ఉద్యోగం చేస్తున్నాడు. చిన్నతనం నుంచి అఖిల్ సామాజిక సేవా కార్యక్రమాల్లో పాల్గొనడం హామీగా పెట్టుకున్నాడు. ఎన్ సీసీ, ఎన్ఎస్ఎస్ తో పాటు సేవా కార్యక్రమంలో భాగస్వామి కావడం, ప్రభుత్వం ప్రారంభించిన స్మార్ట్ విలేజ్ కార్యక్రమంలో భాగస్వామి కావడం అఖిల్ ఎంపికకు దోహదం చేసింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా అఖిల్ మాట్లాడుతూ పారిశుద్ధ్యం,ఇంధన సామర్థ్యం,వన్యప్రాణుల రక్షణ,జీవవైవిధ్య ప్రాధాన్యత తదితర అంశాలపై చర్చలో తన అభిప్రాయాలు తెలియజేస్తానని అఖిల్ పేర్కొన్నాడు.
